So, remember I was saying the other day that the Stadium is gi-norm-ous? I wasn't exaggerating.
This picture was taken from a couple km out into Table Bay on the way to Robben Island. And look how big it still looks! You can see it in perspective to other buildings and to the mountain behind it. I've seen it on aerial views too, and it's immediately recognizable (I've seen postcards, mostly, but you can easily pick it out on Google Maps too). Craziness! Maybe I'm just not used to enormous stadiums (no professional football or baseball attendance here) or maybe it's the shape as much as the actual capacity, but it still seems really impressively big.
